Icons
Ability Icons are the first impression to the user of primary actions with each weapon.
The primary or "active" ability icons have to be distinct from each other and serve as shorthand for the animation and attack style.
I illustrated these images as a vector, before standardizing with our pre-established styling treatment.


Jewelry provides different buffs and effects to players when equipped.
I modelled and textured in Blender, then composited the diffuse and ambient occlusion renders into Photoshop where I would then apply post-processing.

3D Modeling & Texturing
To design the various dinosaurs and vehicles for Jurassic World, I took screenshots from the films or concept arts and broke the subject down into as little cubic forms I could without losing its recognizability. It was important to strike a balance between the high fidelity of film and the playful visual simplicity of Minecraft.





Composition & Rendering
I worked in tandem with Minecraft's marketing team to create splash art for various events and releases. Starting from a rough sketch and aligning on goals, I'd take geometry from the game via external tools and import the meshes into Maya or Blender. From there, I assigned materials, set up lighting, and rendered. I would finally take a composite of the diffuse and ambient occlusion renderings into Photoshop for post-processing touches and generate a myriad of splash art dimensions for different outlets.
